Alexander Weiterer is a Managing Director in the Financial Due Diligence practice and part of the Transaction Advisory Services team based in Munich.
Alexander has more than 15 years of experience in providing cross-border M&A and transaction advice including deal structuring and capital optimization for comapnies in the financial services area as well as for corporate and private equity customers. He has worked for insurance companies, banks, brokers, and asset managers on more than 150 transactions and projects in more than 25 countries around the world.
Alexander’s list of clients includes Allianz (SE, X, AGI), Apollo/Athora, Airbus, AON, AnaCap, BayernLB, Blackfin, Centerbridge, Clark, Deutsche Bank/Postbank, ELEMENT, Frankfurter Leben, Generali, HSH Nordbank/Hamburg Commercial Bank (HCB), FMS WM, MunichRE, Sanlam, Sunnova, Targobank, Tencent, Union Asset Management, VHV, W&W AG, Zurich.
Prior to joining Kroll, Alexander was a partner at KPMG where he helped build KPMG’s Insurance Deal Advisory. He started his consulting career in 2008 with KPMG with a stint at EY and then rejoined KPMG in 2017. Before his time with KPMG, Alexander worked at a German Bank for two years.
Alexander holds a Diplom-Kaufmann degree (master equivalent) in business administration from Philipps Universität Marburg. He also holds a banking degree and he is a CFA Charterholder.
Alexander is proficient in German and English.
